The expression of rpkGD3621 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU (together with Dicer-2, for efficient RNAi) leads to small wings compared to controls.

Larvae expressing rpkGD3621 under the control of Scer\GAL41003.3 (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to enhance RNAi) show a reduced response to gentle touch compared to controls. Class III ddaA neurons in these larvae show a significant decrease in the number of dendritic sensory filopodia compared to wild type. The average length of the filopodia is significantly decreased, while the total length of primary dendritic branches is not altered.

Adults expressing rpkGD3621 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show significantly reduced avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in flightless flies or a weak flyer phenotype.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in grossly normal adult indirect flight muscles.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in morphologically wild-type myofibrils in the adult indirect flight muscles.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in wild-type sarcomeres in the adult indirect flight muscles.
