Flies expressing Atg14KK100903 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU have a similar mitochondrial structure to wild-type controls.

The adulthood-only expression of Atg14KK100903 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 (and Gal80[ts], for the temporal control of expression) leads to a severe decrease in the numbers of intestinal stem cells and of mitotic figures in the adult midgut epithelium, as compared to controls.

No autolysosome formation occurs in larvae expressing Atg14KK100903 under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA under starvation conditions.

Expression of Atg14KK100903 using Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP results in basal autophagy defects in larval fat body cell somatic clones.
