Expression of amonUAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4Gr28b.b.4.7 in adults significantly increases food intake, compared to controls.
Restoration of amon function in the CA- and CC-innervating neurons through expression of amonScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4Kurs21 results in 64% of amonC241Y mutant larvae completing the molt between first and second instar larvae. Restoring amon expression ot the CA- and CC-innervating is also sufficient to partially rescue growth in amonC241Y mutants. Rescued amonC241Y mutant larvae are intermediate in size compared to amonC241Y mutant and control larvae.
