Expression of shotLA-ΔPlakin.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU rescues the increase in bouton number seen at the neuromuscular junction in shot3/shotVV third instar larvae.

shotLA-ΔPlakin.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP expression in tendon cells fully rescues the shotunspecified mutant stretch phenotype. While shotLA-ΔPlakin.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP expression fully rescues the shotunspecified mutant dendritic growth phenotypes, targeted expression of shotLA-ΔPlakin.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP in shotunspecified mutant motorneurons achieves only a partial rescue (47%) of the motoraxonal stall phenotype.

Scer\GAL4Vsx1-MzVum driven expression of shotLA-ΔPlakin.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP produces a partial rescue of axonal extension (67%) and a full rescue of dendritic growth.
