Scer\GAL4elav-C155/cdmUAS.cGa fails to rescue Df(3R)DG2/cdm164
Expression of cdmScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW in cdm164/Df(3R)DG2 larvae rescues muscle size, the thickness of the subsynaptic reticulum and SSR density at the neuromuscular junction, but the lethality is not rescued.
The increased amplitude of the evoked excitatory junctional potential at the larval neuromuscular junction that is seen at low concentrations (0.35mM and 0.5mM) extracellular Ca[2+] in cdm164/Df(3R)DG2 animals is not rescued by expression of cdmScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, but is rescued by expression of cdmScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW.
