Dis3G5039/Df(3R)BSC638, Dis3G5039/Dis31 or Dis3G5039/Dis32 flies are viable, largely infertile and morphologically normal (apart from small bristles and occasional crumpled wings); a large percentage of stage 5-6 egg chambers show over proliferation, with excess posterior follicle cells (follicle cell polarity is grossly normal).
