Restoring qvrScer\UAS.cWa specifically in adults (driven by Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO with RU486 feeding) partially rescues qvrEY04063/qvrEY04063 sleep phenotypes.

Expressing qvrScer\UAS.cWa driven by Scer\GAL4Gad1.3.098 or Scer\GAL4VGAT.PF significantly restores sleep to 80-90% (respectively) of wild type levels in qvrEY04063/qvrEY04063 flies; rescued sleep is due to both lengthened sleep bout duration and increased bout number and sleep latency is returned to wild type levels.

Expressing qvrScer\UAS.cWa driven by Scer\GAL4repo.PU or Scer\GAL4Gabat-PL00338 does not rescue sleep phenotypes (no significant changes in nighttime sleep, sleep bout duration or number, or sleep latency) in qvrEY04063/qvrEY04063 flies; when driven by Scer\GAL4repo.PU, there is a slight (significant) increase in day time sleep.

Expression of qvrScer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4qvr.PW completely rescues the reduced daily sleep seen in qvrEY04063 flies.
