Adults expressing skd^HMS01305 under the control of Scer\GAL4^Mef2.PR have an increased abdominal fat body with larger lipid droplets than controls. Adults have a normal life span under standard diet, but live longer than controls when starved.

The majority of flies expressing skd^HMS01305 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ey.200.Exel in combination with Scer\GAL4^GMR.PFa have small eyes.
