Expression of Not1^GD4070 under the control of Scer\GAL4^{elav.Switch.PO} (in combination with RU486 feeding) leads to increased memory index in courtship suppression assay and in larval olfactory-mediated memory tests, and motor dysfunction (climbing assay). Also its expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^ey-OK107 leads to increased memory index in larval olfactory-mediated memory tests.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4¹⁴⁰⁷ results in loss of neuroblasts in the larval brain. This may be associated with increased size of the remaining neuroblasts (depending on the insertion line used).

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4¹⁴⁰⁷ results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4¹⁴⁰⁷ may result in mild defects in the shape of ganglion mother cells in the larval brain (depending on the insertion line used).
