CYLDmr4 mutant adults (animals homozygous for Df(2L)CYLDmr4 and carrying P{LX107} to rescue the function of CG13138 and nmd) are viable and fertile without any obvious morphological defects. However, CYLDmr4 homozygotes show a significant reduction in both median and maximal lifespan compared to wild-type or heterozygous flies. CYLDmr4 homozygotes show significantly reduced survival after exposure to paraquat compared to wild-type or heterozygous flies.
