Deletion of myo resulting from FLP-catalyzed recombination using the FRT-containing transposons PBac{WH}f08075 and PBac{RB}eye04282.
Animals homozygous for myoΔ1 show no developmental delay through the third instar larval stage compared to wild-type. However, mutant larvae pre-pupate prematurely during the third instar larval stage and are developmentally arrested before head eversion.

myoΔ1 is rescued by myoUAS.cGa/Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR
myoΔ1 is rescued by myoUAS.cGa/Scer\GAL4Cg.PA
myoΔ1 is partially rescued by myoUAS.cGa/Scer\GAL4repo
myoΔ1 is partially rescued by Scer\GAL4myo.PA/myoUAS.cAa
myoCR02262-TG4.1/myoΔ1 is not rescued by myoUAS.PA/Scer\GAL4myo-CR02262-TG4.1
When myoScer\UAS.cAa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4myo.PA in homozygous myoΔ1 animals, the mutants grow into pharate or eclosed adults. The mushroom body undergoes normal remodeling in the rescued animals.
