Wing defects are seen in homozygous aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM mutant flies, ranging from complete lack of wings, to wings that are severely blistered or crumpled. The halteres are also frequently missing. An identical wing phenotype is seen in hemizygous aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM flies. The wing discs are reduced in size and deformed. Similar wing defects are seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM/Df(2R)nap1 flies.

Homozygous aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM mutant flies are short lived and cannot be maintained as a homozygous stock.

Wing defects are seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM/apUGO35 mutant flies, but they are significantly less severe than those seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM homozygotes.

Wing defects are seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM/apf08090 mutant flies, but they are significantly less severe than those seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM homozygotes.

Wing defects are seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM/aprK568 mutant flies, but they are significantly less severe than those seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM homozygotes.

Wing defects are seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM/ap4 mutant flies, but they are significantly less severe than those seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM homozygotes.

Wing defects are seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM/ap56f mutant flies, but they are significantly less severe than those seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM homozygotes.

The wings of aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM/apf00451 transheterozygous flies appear completely wild type.

Wing defects are seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM/Df(2R)DG-Mcp flies, similar to those seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM homozygotes.

Wing defects are seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM/Df(2R)DG mutant flies, but they are less severe than those seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM homozygotes.

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

A su(Hw)V/su(Hw)7 mutant background has no effect on the wing defects seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM mutant flies.

A homozygous mod(mdg4)ul mutant background has no effect on the wing defects seen in aploxP.MCP-PRE.MM mutant flies.
