Detailed Description

Expression of Pi3K68D^{Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC} in the scutellum, under the control of Scer\GAL4^ptc-559.1, results in a loss of scutellar bristles.

(Powis and Macdougall, 2011)

Expression of Pi3K68D^{Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC} under the control of Scer\GAL4^Bx-MS1096 at 25[o]C results in severe wing defects. At 18[o]C, less severe wing defects are seen, which include defects in wing vein patterning and wing blistering.

Expression of Pi3K68D^{Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC} under the control of Scer\GAL4^ptc-559.1 results in a decrease in the average number of scutellar bristles and a reduction in the size of the scutellum compared to wild type.

Expression of Pi3K68D^{Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC} under the control of Scer\GAL4^69B results in a "held-out" wing phenotype. The flies have a small hole in the proximal part of the first basal cell in the hinge region (penetrance 100%) and a hole is also often seen in the haltere.

Flies expressing Pi3K68D^{Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC} under the control of Scer\GAL4^69B in a Egfr^E1/+ background at 25[o]C show loss of the anterior and partial loss of the posterior crossvein.

Co-expression of Pi3K68D^{Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC} enhances the loss of wing veins caused by expression of aos^Scer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4^69B.

The wing notching phenotype seen in N^264-39/+ flies is not enhanced by expression of Pi3K68D^{Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC} under the control of Scer\GAL4^69B.
