Expression of Pi3K68DScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC in the scutellum, under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1, results in a loss of scutellar bristles.

Expression of Pi3K68DScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 at 25[o]C results in severe wing defects. At 18[o]C, less severe wing defects are seen, which include defects in wing vein patterning and wing blistering.

Expression of Pi3K68DScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 results in a decrease in the average number of scutellar bristles and a reduction in the size of the scutellum compared to wild type.

Expression of Pi3K68DScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL469B results in a "held-out" wing phenotype. The flies have a small hole in the proximal part of the first basal cell in the hinge region (penetrance 100%) and a hole is also often seen in the haltere.
