Scer\GAL4^esg.PU- or Scer\GAL4^Dl-NP0677-mediated, but not Scer\GAL4^Su(H).GBE, Scer\GAL4^PDM1 or Scer\GAL4^how-24B-mediated expression of mir-275^{sponge.Scer\UAS.T:Disc\RFP} significantly increases the number of intestinal stem cells and enteroblasts in the adult midgut. The effect is exacerbated following nutrient deprivation.
