Expression of mir-9aScer\UAS.T:Disc\RFP-DsRed2.cSa in the insulin-producing cells under the control of Scer\GAL4Ilp2.PR results in a reduction in the length of the anterior crossvein compared to controls. Body length, wing length and pupal volume are all reduced. Haemolymph glucose and trehalose levels are increased.
