Reference

After axons are severed, Rtca^Δ/Rtca^Δ larvae show extensive axon regrowth (significantly increased regeneration percentage and terminal branching) compared to limited regrowth in wild type. Rtca^Δ/Rtca^Δ larvae where both zygotic and maternal Rtca transcripts are removed show a stronger phenotype (significantly increased regeneration percentage, terminal branching and commissure regrowth).
