αTub84BK40R mutant larvae show a significantly decreased response to gentle touch, as compared to controls.
αTub84BK40R mutant third instar larvae do not display any apparent differences in the microtubule network in muscle cells compared to controls at room temperature but their microtubules (MT) are more sensitive to cold-induced destabilization as the perinuclear MTs are much less dense in αTub84BK40R mutant muscle cells than in wild-type after cold treatment.
αTub84BK40R/αTub84BK40R is a suppressor of abnormal neuroanatomy | third instar larval stage phenotype of Hsap\MAPTV337M.UAS, Scer\GAL4elav.PU
αTub84BK40R/αTub84BK40R is a suppressor | partially of larval somatic muscle cell | third instar larval stage phenotype of Hsap\MAPTV337M.UAS, Scer\GAL4C57
αTub84BK40R/αTub84BK40R is a suppressor | partially of cytoplasmic microtubule | third instar larval stage phenotype of Hsap\MAPTV337M.UAS, Scer\GAL4C57
αTub84BK40R/αTub84BK40R is a suppressor of NMJ bouton | increased number | third instar larval stage phenotype of Hsap\MAPTV337M.UAS, Scer\GAL4elav.PU
The decreased density of perinuclear microtubules (MTs) in larval muscle cells characteristic for third instar larvae expressing Hsap\MAPTV337M.Scer\UAS (with the Scer\GAL4C57 driver) as well as the excess of satellite boutons at larval neuromuscular junctions (with the Scer\GAL4elav.PU driver) is partially or fully suppressed (respectively) by αTub84BK40R homozygosity.
