NaPi-III21-4/NaPi-III15-1, NaPi-III21-4/Df(3L)ED4470 or NaPi-III21-4/Df(3L)BSC817 transheterozygotes are embryonic lethal.

The third instar larval neuromuscular junctions of NaPi-III21-4 heterozygotes display a significant decrease in the number, and a significant increase in the size, of terminal boutons, as compared to controls.
