Df(1)su(s)R194-heterozygous clones in the larval eye disc are outcompeted by neighboring clones that also harbor RpL36+t4); this phenotype is suppressed by homozygosity for RpS12G97D in combination with two copies of RpS12G97D.2kb, but not by two copies of RpS12G97D.2kb alone.

The following genotypes exhibit a minute-like developmental delay phenotype as compared to controls: Df(1)su(s)R194/+, RpS12s2783/RpS12s2783, RpS12G97D.2kb.

In Df(2R)BSC865-heterozygous or M(2)56FH-heterozygous larval wing discs, clones bearing two copies of RpS12G97D.2kb do not compete with otherwise wild-type neighboring clones, as shown by their comparable clone sizes. The increased cell death observed in M(2)56FH-heterozygous larval wing discs is not enhanced within clones bearing two copies of RpS12G97D.2kb.
