      pnutmut1 mutants are third instar lethal, contain polyploid cells and lack imaginal discs.

      pnutmut1 mutants rescued with either pnutT509E.S517E.T:Zzzz\FLAG or pnutT509A.S517A.T:Zzzz\FLAG survive to adulthood but display reduced survival rate and in the case of the pnutT509A.S517A.T:Zzzz\FLAG rescue also decreased embryonic viability (hatching rate) across various culture temperature (

      pnutWT.T:Zzzz\FLAG rescues the larval lethality of pnutmut1 homozygous mutants and the emerging adult females are fertile. Combination with either pnutT509A.S517A.T:Zzzz\FLAG or pnutT509E.S517E.T:Zzzz\FLAG also rescues the larval lethality of pnutmut1 homozygous mutants (and the females are fertile) but the rescued adult flies display significantly reduced viability across various culture temperatures (18, 25 and 29[o]C) or just at 25[o]C (but not at either 18[o]C or 29[o]C), respectively.
