7bp deletion in the first exon of Yip1d1.
11 bases (CTCCGCGCCCT) are deleted and replaced with 4 bases (ACTC) in the first coding exon of Yip1d1. This results in a frameshift and early translation termination.

Yip1d11-21 mutant ddaC neuron clones show significantly simplified dendrite arbors with fewer dendritic termini in wandering third instar larvae and show strong pruning defects in pupae (16h APF); mutant ddaD/E neuron clones also show strong pruning defects in pupae (19h APF); mutant ddaF neuron clones are removed by 19h APF, similar to wild-type controls.
Yip1d11-21 mutant ddaC neuron clones in wandering third instar larvae show disrupted cis- and trans-Golgi (as shown by the diffuse patterns of fluorescent GM130 and Arf1), but no defect in ER exit sites (as shown by the normal punctate pattern of fluorescent Sec31).
