Insertion of 2 nucleotides (CT) after the T in the 9th codon, resulting in a frame shift. The next in-frame Met codon is after the signal peptide, thus it is predicted that any translated protein should not be properly processed and targeted to the plasma membrane.

The combined tissue-specific knockout of CDC50 (CDC50sgRNA.U6+Spyo\Cas9ppk.PS) and expression of Mmus\Ano6D430G-L.lexAop.Tag:FLAG under the control of Ecol\lexAppk.PU leads to significant vesicle shedding by class IV dendritic arborizing neurons compared to controls, which is suppressed by drprindel homozygosity.

The combined tissue-specific knockout of CDC50 (CDC50sgRNA.U6+Spyo\Cas9ppk.PS) and expression of Avic\GFPsfGFP.UAS.Tag:mLactC1C2 under the control of Scer\GAL4DcG leads to short dendrites in class IV dendritic arborizing neurons, as compared to CDC50 knockout alone; this phenotype is suppressed by drprindel homozygosity.
