Deletion that removes all coding exons of the Pka-C3-RA isoform and all coding exons except the first one for the Pka-C3-RB isoform. Generated by FLP-mediated recombination between the two progenitor insertions (PBac{WH}Pka-C3f00695 and PBac{WH}f07226).
A significantly reduced number of Pka-C3d/Pka-C3d males attempt copulation, even though they spend a similar amount of time engaging in other courtship-related behaviors compared to wild-type controls. Males display longer periods of activity than controls, but show no difference in walking speed.
Pka-C3d/Pka-C3d flies lack any overt defects and display normal brain development and integrity during adult life.
Pka-C3d has abnormal copulation | recessive | male phenotype, non-suppressible by Pka-C1UAS.Tag:FLAG/Scer\GAL4elav.PU
Pka-C3d has abnormal copulation | recessive | male phenotype, non-suppressible by Pka-C1UAS.Tag:FLAG/Scer\GAL4VP16.natalisin
Pka-C3d is rescued by Scer\GAL4elav.PU/Pka-C3UAS.cBa
Pka-C3d is rescued by Scer\GAL4VP16.natalisin/Pka-C3UAS.cBa
Expressing Pka-C3UAS.cBa under the control of either Scer\GAL4elav.PU or Scer\GAL4VP16.natalisin rescues the reduced occurrence of copulation in Pka-C3d/Pka-C3d males.
