Although both GluRIIA^unspecified single mutants and in GluRIIA^unspecified, Mctp^e00415 double mutants show similarly decreased mEPSP amplitudes in the third instar larval neuromuscular junction, double mutants show a decrease in quantal content instead of the homeostatic increase in quantal content, and also show a decrease in EPSP amplitude; Mctp^UAS.cGa expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^elav-C155 in the double mutant background leads to homeostatic increase in quantal content as observed in GluRIIA^unspecified single mutants.
