Expressing yki^{UAS.UTR.Tag:MYC} under the control of Scer\GAL4^ptc.PU results in tissue overgrowth along the third instar wing disc anterior-posterior compartment boundary and in an increased area between L3 and L4 in the wing.

Expressing under the control of Scer\GAL4^GMR.PU induces tumor-like overgrowth in the eye.
