FlyBase curator comment: this entry represents a transgenic construct where the particular construct used cannot be determined.
Hearts from flies expressing Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4>phlAct.Scer\UAS show reduced end-diastolic dimensions relative to controls. The transgenic hearts display myofiber disarray and increased heart wall thickness compared with controls. The number of cardiomyocytes is similar in the hearts from the transgenic flies to that of wild-type. Compared with controls, the transgenic hearts show an increase in cardiomyocyte ploidy, suggesting abnormal endoreplication.
Expression of phlAct.Scer\UAS in the midgut, under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP7397 results in the generation of many new midgut cells, including enterocyte-like cells.
Expression of phlAct.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4CY2 results in a strong ectopic wing vein phenotype.
Expression of phlAct.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PB can result in homeotic transformation of the eye to antenna. The ectopic antenna has all segments including the arista and is oriented similarly to the endogenous antenna.
Expression of phlAct.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 results in ectopic furrow formation in the eye disc.
RafCA.UAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 has abnormal endomitotic cell cycle phenotype, suppressible by fzrGD9960, Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4
RafCA.UAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 has cardial cell phenotype, suppressible by fzrGD9960, Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4
RafCA.UAS.cUa has wing vein | ectopic phenotype, suppressible by Scer\GAL4CY2/Bant\lefUAS.cGa
RafCA.UAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 has eye disc morphogenetic furrow | ectopic phenotype, non-suppressible by wgUAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1
The cardiac specific expression of rapGD9960 under the control of Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 prevents the phlAct.Scer\UAS-induced increases in cardiomyocyte ploidy.
Furrow initiation is blocked in eye discs coexpressing phlAct.Scer\UAS and NDN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1.
Expression of Zzzz\lefScer\UAS.cGa suppresses the strong ectopic vein phenotype of phlAct.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4CY2.
