Interacts with the SMC5-SMC6 complex members SMC5 and SMC6/jnj following ionizing radiation (IR) to induce DNA damage (PubMed:26502056). Interaction between the SMC5-SMC6 complex and the dgrn-Rad60 complex, may stabilize the association of heterochromatic DSBs with the nuclear periphery (PubMed:26502056).
