Pros6-GFP is seen in both the cytoplasm and nuclei of spermatogonia, spermatocytes and early stage spermatids. During spermiogenesis, the Pros6-GFP signal begins to fade in elongated sperm bundles and condensed nuclei and is undetected in individualized, mature sperm.
