Description

An FRT cassette containing the ewg cDNA and 3'UTR is placed between a 3.5kb elav promoter fragment and sequences corresponding to the Scer\GAL4 coding region followed by the Hsp70 3'UTR. The ewg sequences are expressed under the control of the elav promoter, while the GAL4 driver is not expressed due to the FRT cassette.
