A 676bp DNA sequence from upstream of the Ir8a start codon is fused directly to DNA sequences containing Ir8a intron 1 59bp, intron 2 (131bp), and intron 3 (789bp), and cloned upstream of an AUG start codon and GAL4 coding sequences.
