[55D1-55D1];[55E10-55E10];
A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.

Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Lethal in combination with Df(2R)BSC339.
Lethal in combination with Df(2R)Exel7157.
Inferred to overlap with: Df(2R)PC4.
The presence of P+PBac{XP5.RB3}BSC399 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003 with the substitution of the primer 5'-CCAATGCGTTTATTTCAGGTCACG-3' for the RB3' plus or RB3' minus primer in the Hybrid PCR protocol in the Supplementary Methods.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(2R)BSC399 predicted from the Release 5 genomic coordinates of the progenitor P{XP}CG5224d01951 and PBac{RB}Hs3st-Ae00779 transposable element insertions sites are 55D1;55E10.
