Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Shows no defect outside the wing when homozygous, but shows rough eyes and shortened legs when heterozygous with Df(2R)X58-5.

px1/bs3 flies have a phenotype similar to px1/px1.

Wings have network of extra veins, especially towards tips and margins; L4 vein bent near tip. Semidominant with some Minutes. Suppressed by S (Bedichek, 1936); suppresses expression of ve (Thompson, 1973). Venation effect caused by inadequate contraction of wing during pupal stage, leaving spaces between epithelial layers (Waddington, 1940). Vein patterns of px flies studied in lines selected for increased or decreased expression (Thompson, 1974).

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

px1 nmoadk2 double mutant flies show a synergistic interaction with respect to the extra wing vein phenotype of each single mutant.

Dominantly suppresses the wing blister phenotype of if3 flies.

EgfrE3/EgfrE3 px1/px1 double mutants have a superadditive phenotype.
