The eggs laid by Hrb27C^rF680 germ-line clone carrying females exhibit varying degrees of dorsalisation: least affect have widely spaced dorsal appendage and an enlarged operculum; intermediately affected have a single broad appendage that spans at least the width of the normal appendages; severely affected have a crown of appendage material that surrounds the anterior circumference of the egg. Most of the eggs laid are abnormally short.
