The eggs laid by spn-E9A2-17/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit mild dorsoventral patterning defects. The majority of eggs laid are wild type but some collapsed eggs or eggs with fused or no dorsal appendages are also seen.
The eggs laid by spn-E2A9-14/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit severe dorsoventral patterning defects, with a high percentage of collapsed eggs or eggs with no dorsal appendages.
The eggs laid by spn-E23-17/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit mild dorsoventral patterning defects. The majority of eggs laid are wild type but some collapsed eggs or eggs with fused or no dorsal appendages are also seen.
The eggs laid by spn-E4-48/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit mild dorsoventral patterning defects. The majority of eggs laid are wild type but some collapsed eggs or eggs with fused or no dorsal appendages are also seen.
The eggs laid by spn-E8D4-11/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit severe dorsoventral patterning defects, with a high percentage of collapsed eggs or eggs with no dorsal appendages.
The eggs laid by spn-E155-55/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit moderate dorsoventral patterning defects. The majority of eggs laid are collapsed but many eggs with fused or no dorsal appendages are also seen.
The eggs laid by spn-E7G2-5/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit severe dorsoventral patterning defects, with a high percentage of collapsed eggs or eggs with no dorsal appendages.
The eggs laid by spn-E114-33/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit severe dorsoventral patterning defects, with a high percentage of collapsed eggs or eggs with no dorsal appendages.
The eggs laid by spn-E9A9-18/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit severe dorsoventral patterning defects, with a high percentage of collapsed eggs or eggs with no dorsal appendages.
The eggs laid by spn-E4E2-14/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit severe dorsoventral patterning defects, with a high percentage of collapsed eggs or eggs with no dorsal appendages.
The eggs laid by spn-E100.37/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit moderate dorsoventral patterning defects. The majority of eggs laid are collapsed but many eggs with fused or no dorsal appendages are also seen.
The eggs laid by spn-E1/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit moderate dorsoventral patterning defects. The majority of eggs laid are collapsed but many eggs with fused or no dorsal appendages are also seen.
The eggs laid by spn-E2/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit severe dorsoventral patterning defects, with a high percentage of collapsed eggs or eggs with no dorsal appendages.
The eggs laid by spn-E66-21/spn-Ehls-Δ125 mutant females exhibit mild dorsoventral patterning defects. The majority of eggs laid are wild type but some collapsed eggs or eggs with fused or no dorsal appendages are also seen.
spn-Ehls-Δ125 flies show a disruption of the heterochromatic silencing of the P{T1} reporter in line P{T1}T190-177 and of the P{T1(-FRT)} reporter in line P{T1(-FRT)}T190-177.
Suppressor of repeat-induced silencing, as seen at heterochromatic tandem arrays of insertions of the P{lacW} transposon.
Trans-heterozygotes with spn-E1 show an increased rate of non-disjunction in all except the small 4th chromosome. There are also substantial biases in recovery of reciprocal sperm classes. Nullo-XY sperm are recovered in considerable excess over the reciprocal XY sperm class. Also a weaker bias in favour of normal X-bearing sperm is seen. spn-Ehls-Δ125/spn-E1 males that have inherited the spn-Ehls-Δ125 from their mother and spn-E1 from their father are sterile. Males from the reciprocal cross are fertile.
Germline clones cannot be visualised.
Transheterozygotes with spn-Ehls-03987 are sterile.
spn-E1/spn-Ehls-Δ125 has spermatocyte phenotype, enhanceable by Steunspecified
spn-Ehls-Δ125/+ does not impair cytotype-mediated repression of P-element excision.
spn-E1/ spn-Ehls-Δ125 primary spermatocytes have star-shaped crystals in combination with Steunspecified.
Deletion may extend into further genes.
