In mewScer\UAS.cWa, Scer\GAL4btl.PS embryos, there is abnormal dorsal branch migration and fusion and occasional dorsal trunk breaks. Many dorsal branches fail to fuse with the dorsal branch from the contralateral hemisegment, or fuse with an inappropriate branch.

Embryos expressing mewScer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 do not show axon defects in the central or peripheral nervous systems.

Reduced maintenance phenotype of adult mewM6/mewM6, ifk27e/ifk27e double mutant intestinal stem cell clones is partially rescued by expression of mewUAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU in these clones.

The ISNb and SNa axon guidance defects seen in 14-3-3εj2B10/14-3-3εNP1301 embryos are significantly suppressed by expression of mewScer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL414-3-3ε-NP1301.

Expression of mewScer\UAS.cWa alone under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 does not rescue any aspect of the apunspecified mutant phenotype. Coexpression of mewScer\UAS.cWa and fngScer\UAS.cKa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 partially rescues the apts78j/apmd544 wing phenotype; the overall size and shape, apposition of the two surfaces, position of the wing margin and pattern of the wing veins are remarkably normal. However, these wings consist entirely of ventral cell types. Firstly, the rescued wing margins lack the dorsal-specific bristle types and instead have ventral bristle types on both surfaces. Secondly, the wings have many more alula bristles than normal (which in wild-type are derived only from the ventral surface). Thirdly, a mechanosensory campaniform sensillum that is normally located only on the ventral surface of vein L3 is duplicated and present on both surfaces of the rescued wing. Finally, the morphology of the wing veins indicate that they entirely of ventral identity.

Scer\GAL4684 induced expression of mewScer\UAS.cWa fails to rescue the blistering phenotype of ventral ifA7 clones.
