Detailed Description

Reference

Heterozygotes exhibit mildly rough eyes, a few ommatidia contain extra R7 cells. Clonal cells in the eye abutting wild type tissue exhibit some ommatidia missing the R7 cell or having an extra R7-like cell. Ommatidia in the centre of the clone generally contain fewer photoreceptor cells. Morphology of their rhabdomeres is abnormal suggesting an aberrant differentiation.
