Reference

About 3% of Dll^md23/Dll³ and Dll^md23/Dll⁹ animals emerge as adults, with all escapers displaying partial transformation of the antenna to leg structures and deletion of distal leg structures.

Dll^md23/Dll³ animals results in the loss of the arista and transformation of antennal segment 3 towards leg. Antennal segment 2 is present and has a normal cuticle.

Scer\GAL4^Dll-md23-mediated expression of disco^Scer\UAS.cDa partially rescues the lethality associated with Dll^md23/Dll³ or Dll^md23/Dll⁹, and nearly completely rescues the antenna and leg phenotypes of these mutants.

Scer\GAL4^Dll-md23-mediated expression of disco^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS} reduces the number of Dll^md23/Dll³ or Dll^md23/Dll⁹ escapers to nearly zero.
