Expression of rhoScer\UAS.cXa driven by Scer\GAL4sim.P3.7 or by Scer\GAL4sli.PS does not affect the numbers of midline glial cells (MGs) at stage 12/0 or at stage 17. However when driven by Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 a higher number of MGs are seen.
Scer\GAL4prd.RG1-mediated expression causes ectopic dorsal median cells in alternating segments. Scer\GAL452B-mediated expression causes ectopic mesodermal cells in stage 14 embryos that migrate normally to lateral regions of the embryo.
Scer\GAL4prd.RG1 mediated expression in wild type embryos causes altered denticle morphology; terminal regions of the denticles are slightly widened and squared off rather than being the normal tapered shape. Altered morphology is consistent with a transformation of terminal denticle structures to a more ventral structure.
rhoUAS.cXa/Scer\GAL4sim.P3.7 partially rescues rho7M43
rhoUAS.cXa/Scer\GAL4sim.P3.7 fails to rescue rhoPΔ38
The addition of rhoScer\UAS.cXa driven by Scer\GAL4sim.P3.7 to rhoPΔ38 embryos is not sufficient to rescue the loss of midline glial cell phenotype seen in these mutants.
Scer\GAL4sim.P3.7 mediated expression greatly rescues rho7M43 embryonic cuticle phenotype but not the CNS phenotype.
