    pan3 mutant embryos exhibit a denticle lawn phenotype.

    Strongly suppresses the eye phenotype produced by activated arm constructs. (either armS44Y.GMR or armS56F.GMR).

    Homozygous embryos resemble wgl-17 pan3 double mutants.

    The lawn of denticles phenotype of pan3 embryos is replaced by naked cuticle if the embryos are also expressing tshScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL469B.

    Regions of naked cuticle are replaced by cuticle with denticles. Head segments are relatively unaffected.

    The wing notch phenotype seen in Chie5.5/+ mutants is partially suppressed by the presence of pan3/+.

    pan3 mutant embryos exhibit the same denticle lawn phenotype irrespective of the presence or absence of Scer\GAL4arm.PS>dshDIX.Scer\UAS.T:ctail-arr.

    The pan3 mutant phenotype is not affected if the embryos are also maternally and zygotically homozygous for Apc2ΔS.

    Heterozygotes show a partial and homozygotes a more complete suppression of the wgl-17 embryonic cuticle defect.
