Co-expression of arm^{T:Hsap\MYC,T:Hsap\CAAX} and arm^{Δ.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1} (driven by Scer\GAL4^arm.PS) in either a wild-type background, or in a arm² background, leads to embryos with naked cuticle. When arm^{T:Hsap\MYC,T:Hsap\CAAX} and arm^{Δ.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1} are expressed in a arm¹ background however, ectopic denticles are seen.

Comments

Embryos maternally and zygotically mutant for arm³ have a fragmented cuticle. This cuticle phenotype is completely rescued by arm^{T:Hsap\MYC,T:Hsap\CAAX}, but the resulting embryos have a wg null-like phenotype.
