    Description

FlyBase curator comment: this entry is used to capture phenotypic information when the particular allele (or allele combination) used by the author could not be determined but the context of the experiment suggests that the phenotype being described is some kind of loss of function.

    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

Homozygous null cells in the wing do not proliferate normally and substantial clones can not be recovered.

Homozygous hypomorphic clones in the wing are typically small. These clones have two mutant phenotypes; some cells appear to be tetraploid (based on cell size) and the cells often form multiple hairs.

25% of homozygous embryos have segmentation defects.

In the sarcomeres of mutant embryo muscles, well defined I bands are seen as seen in wild-type.

    Additional Comments
    Genetic Interactions
    Statement
    Reference

The mwh1/mwh6 multiple wing hair phenotype is dominantly enhanced by Rho1unspecified.

The incidence and severity of segmentation defects in homozygous Rho1 mutant embryos is enhanced by expression of p120ctnScer\UAS.P\T.cMa or α-CatScer\UAS.P\T.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI. Expression of Act5CScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI has no effect on the severity of the Rho1unspecified mutant phenotype.
