Detailed Description

Reference

The external stigmatophore, present in the wild-type posterior spiracle, is absent in dome^G0367 mutants. The internal Filzkorper are visible in wild-type and 'weak' dome^G0367 phenotypes. The 'strong' dome^G0367 phenotype lacks both the stigmatophore and Filzkorper.

Homozygous embryos have wild-type posterior spiracles.

Lethality occurs during the first larval instar.

The shape of the posterior spiracles is only slightly affected in mutants with the filzkorper being slightly thinner than normal.
