Overexpression of tsuEP567 in the eye under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF does not cause any apparent neurodegeneration in the retina.
Females carrying homozygous germline clones lay eggs which are smaller than wild type and are unfertilised. The actin cytoskeleton (including the ring canals) appears normal in mutant egg chambers and mutant oocytes show the normal anterolateral accumulation of microtubules.
Eggs and embryos derived from females with homozygous follicle cell clones are indistinguishable from wild type. Females containing homozygous germ-line clones lay defective eggs and embryos derived from these eggs fail to hatch.
