The lawn of denticles phenotype seen in homozygous wgPE4 embryos at 25oC is suppressed by eRF1KY7. This effect is a dominant maternal effect; wgPE4 homozygous embryos laid by a female heterozygous for wgPE4 and eRF1KY7 show suppression of the wgPE4 phenotype, whether or not the male parent carries eRF1KY7. The wgPE4 phenotype is suppressed more completely in wgPE4 homozygous embryos derived from females carrying both eRF1KY7 and ElfLR16. The cuticle phenotype of wgPE13 homozygous embryos is not suppressed if their female parent is heterozygous for eRF1KY7. Embryos derived from females homozygous for wgPE4.Scer\UAS.cCa.T:Ivir\HA1 and heterozygous for eRF1KY7 crossed to males homozygous for Scer\GAL4e22c produce excess naked cuticle.
One copy of eRF1KY7 enhances the rough eye phenotype seen in flies expressing Hsap\MAPTGMR.Ex.PJ. Necrotic plaques are also seen.
