Expressing Dsor1GD9123 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in underdeveloped vestigial wings.

Expressing Dsor1GD9123 under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU induces cell death in the posterior compartment of the wing disc, while expression under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 results in loss of vein material in wing vein L3.

Scer\GAL4Ilp2.PR-mediated expression results in a significant reduction in the body weight of emerging adults compared to controls.

Adults expressing Dsor1GD9123 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in adult/pharate lethality or late pupal lethality.

The vestigial wing phenotype induced by the expression of Dsor1GD9123 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 is considerably suppressed by the co-expression of rlR80S.D334N.UAS, but only subtly by the co-expression of either rlR80S.UAS or rlD334N.UAS.cKa.

The pupal lethality of individuals expressing Dsor1GD9123 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH is partially rescued, although with an associated small eye phenotype, by the co-expression of rlWT.UAS (few escapers, with mild-to-severe eye phenotype), rlR80S.UAS (majority die, mostly mild eye phenotype), rlD334N.UAS.cKa (majority die, mostly mild eye phenotype), rlR80S.D334N.UAS (majority live, mostly mild eye phenotype).

Expressing Dsor1GD9123 under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU in a rlSem/+ background results in notched wings with a mix of ectopic and lost vein tissue. Wings did not show creases, or the "droopy" phenotype.

Expression of Dsor1GD9123 under the control of Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS suppresses the reduced pupal length phenotype seen in Nf1E2 animals.
