Expression of dlpGD3592 in epidermic cells under the control of Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4 does not induce any significant change in the terminal dendrite density and number in the adjacent class IV dendritic arborizing neurons within the intersegmental area of third instar larvae.

Expression of dlpGD3592 under the control of Scer\GAL4C587 results in encapsulation defects in 58.3% of germaria. Compound follicles without intervening stalk cells are seen.

The expression of dlpGD3592 under the control of Scer\GAL4221, in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi, results in third instar larval class I abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaD and ddaE neurons exhibiting dendrite branch misrouting, as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG, in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi, results in third instar larval class IV abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaC neurons exhibiting abnormal dendritic terminals and dendritic branch misrouting, as compared to controls.

Adults expressing dlpGD3592 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in extra bristles on the notum in 0% or 0-10% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in a colour difference between the central Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain of the notum and the surrounding lateral region in 0% or 0-10% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression of dlpGD3592 suppresses the wing defects seen when Drer\wif1Scer\UAS.cAa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62. Scalloping of the wing margin is almost completely eliminated and more margin bristles are retained.
