UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of unc-104GD16406 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PU (and Dicer-2, for efficient RNAi) induces severe and fully penetrant ddaC neuron dendrite pruning defects at 16h after puparium formation, as compared to controls; these neurons do not present any obvious changes in lysosomes (i.e. Lysotracker staining), secretory vesicles (Sec15) or Golgi apparatus (i.e. GalT), as compared to controls.
Larval ddaE neurons expressing unc-104GD16406 under the control of Scer\GAL4221 (and Dicer-2, for a more efficient RNAi) show a significant increase in growing microtubules within dendrites, as compared to neurons in controls.

The ddaC neuron pruning defects induced by the expression of unc-104GD16406 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PU (and Dicer-2, for efficient RNAi) are significantly enhanced by heterozygosity for AP-2α3, as the persisting dendrites become significantly longer.
