RassfX16 flies are less resistant to γ-irradiation than controls.

The body weight of RassfX16, RassfX16/RassfX36 and RassfX16/Rassf44.2 flies is around 15% lower than wild-type flies. The wing surface area of RassfX16 flies is reduced, while wing hair density is unaffected.

Expression of savScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 in a RassfX16/RassfX16 background results in a 15% reduction in wing area, while the reduction is only 5% in a wild-type background.

The reduced body mass phenotype of RassfX16 flies is partially suppressed by one copy of hpo42-48.
