The P{Hml-GAL4.G} construct contains sequences from upstream of Hml driving Scer\GAL4 expression (represented by the Scer\GAL4Hml.PG allele). This genomic fragment from upstream of Hml also contains the complete open reading frame of Tsp68C (represented by the Tsp68C+t3.0 allele).
The majority of hemocytes in larvae expressing Tsp68C+t3.0 consist predominantly of small, uniform round plasmatocytes with rare cell membrane protrusions or pseudopodia, in contrast to wild type where the hemocytes display a range of cell morphology. Lamellocytes are very rarely detectable in these larvae.
Tsp68C+t3.0 is a suppressor of embryonic/larval hemocyte | increased number phenotype of ytr5E24
Tsp68C+t3.0 is a suppressor of embryonic/larval hemocyte | increased number phenotype of ytrΔP22
The increased number of hemocytes that is seen in ytrΔP22 homozygous larvae is suppressed by Tsp68C+t3.0.
The increased number of hemocytes that is seen in ytr5E24 homozygous larvae is suppressed by Tsp68C+t3.0.
